Hello,
For SAQ’s 100th birthday I built this transistor receiver this year:

Basically:
HF selection (resonant loop antenna, outside!) and HF amplifier
Oscillator (quartz and divider module)
Down mixer (for audible sound e.g. 800-1200 Hz)
LF selection and LF amplifier

Even just one HF+LF selection would be sufficient,
but there are these strong naval stations that can be heard in this case.
