With more than 300 listeners last July, did anyone try generate a pseudo stereo audio signal using processed data from two receiver stations? When my calculations are correct, two stations with about 110 km distance to each other on a line approximately perpendicular to the line towards the transmitter should produce an effect comparable to sound does with my ears. A assume that a receiver somewhere around 1000km distance from the transmitter (e.g south of Germany) would produce a virtual sound source of 1m distance.
Is anybody interested in trying such an experiment? My SAQ receiver is rather poor (small loop antenna, microphone preamplifier, sound card and GNU radio) but probably there are two radio amateurs that could provide the original baseband wideband (48kHz sampled) data stream of the July transmission or are willing to record the next transmission that way. I would try to do the processing and share the results.Robin
